Who is United Syracuse?
United Syracuse is a collection of workers at Syracuse University, both unionized and those who are organizing, to come together to make changes and improve the lives of workers at Syracuse University. Together, we hope to win improvements at Syracuse University which no one group of workers could achieve on their own!
United Syracuse is a coalition between workers, unions and organizations at Syracuse University! These organizations are currently working together in this coalition!
Service, Maintenance, and Library Workers Service Employees International Union 200United
SEIU Local 200United, a union of thousands of members who are working people striving for fair and just workplaces and communities. We fight for good wages, healthcare benefits, retirement security, safe jobs, and everything working families need to strive.
At Syracuse University SEIU 200 United represents employees working in libraries, food service, and maintenance at Syracuse University. As of last April, SEIU 200United also represents graduate workers who organized Syracuse Graduate Employees United.
Syracuse Graduate Employees United SEIU 200United
Syracuse Graduate Employees United (SGEU) a chapter of SEIU 200United made up of over 1,000 graduate workers who hold positions such as research, teaching, and graduate assistants across campus. In April 2023, we won our union formation election with a 95% yes margin! We are in the midst of bargaining a contract that will see Grad workers given thriving compensation, healthcare and benefits we deserve, and respect and dignity in the workplace. We stand with our fellow workers in United Syracuse because we believe ALL workers who make this university work deserve what we are bargaining for.
American Association of University Professors
The mission of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) is to advance academic freedom and shared governance; to define fundamental professional values and standards for higher education; to promote the economic security of faculty, academic professionals, graduate students, post‐doctoral fellows, and all those engaged in teaching and research in higher education; to help the higher education community organize to make our goals a reality; and to ensure higher education's contribution to the common good.

Adjuncts United’s mission is to promote, protect, and expand the terms and conditions necessary for the effectiveness and dignity of our members.
Other Workers
Workers across Syracuse University are coming together to organize at SU and make improvements to their wages, benefits and working conditions. They are talking to each other, signing the transportation petition and forming unions!
